1950's Frigidaire Refrigerator

I am selling this vintage 1950's Frigidaire refrigerator for a friend. It has been in the back room of her grandparents basement since 1974. It's like it lived in a little time capsule. Beautiful white enamel exterior with a sea foam green and gold tone interior. The entire thing is in awesome condition, still works like a champ and makes ice in no time flat! Beauty and function living in perfect harmony.

Will deliver to Downtown and North Side residents for a small fee.

Measurements

Height 59"
Width 27"
Depth (including handle) 27.5"

  1. My parents got literally this same model from my maternal grandparents. They were married September 11, 1955. The only difference in my parent's fridge was the freezer was on the bottom. We had this fridge till May of 1968. I remember as a kid, it needed a lot of service. In those days the repairman actually made a house call and fixed it right there in the kitchen! What killed off this 1950's fridge was my dad using a knife to get the excess ice build up off the freezer before defrosting. Dad managed to puncture the side causing loss of freon. And lo and behold it died. It was replaced with a brand new 1968 two door bottom freezer Fridgidare with an ice maker! Oh well!

  2. Can you tell me how much it sold for. I have an avocado green one and I can't find a single thing online about it and I'm hoping to sell it for a fair price.
